SHADES OF GREY

H&M Sweater Dress/ EuroModa Jacket/ Stella Luna Over-the-knee Boots/ Apple Watch/ Hermes Bracelet/ Vintage Gold Jewelry

I visit London once is a while to take a break from my little town and appreciate some urban vibes. I have always loved London. A city is like meeting a person: some that you see all day and greet politely but never become close friends. and others that you have just met but feels like a best friend since forever. London is like that to me. It has a metropolitan side to it, but some culture architecture shall always remind of its history. Plus, there are always the vintage markets.

Leaving my sweatshirt, converse, and my thesis back in Cambridge. I decided to walk down St. Paul's Cathedral with my over-the-knee boots. Grey jackets are always a staple and have hardly ever gone out of the trend scene. They are definitly worn more vivaciously this winter, and this jacket I stole from my mom cannot go wrong. Greys, blacks, oh, and red lips of course.

Step to the road, to the sea, to the sky

Happy Yoyo Lingerie/ Wilfred Silk Blouse

One of my favorite set with my favorite photographer, Jason. It has been more than six months ago and I wasn't expecting to see these, until he posted these on his account as a total surprise.
Black and white sexy pictures in lingerie, but it feels that Jason captured emotions, and is telling a story. He certainly communicated with me in a way that I have never encountered before. It did not feel like work anymore but it was just like spending time with someone you love, while he captures the most beautiful side of you. And I think it feels like love……

NEWNHAM

Sample Dress/ MA Academic Gown/ Nastygal Bralette/ Stella Luna Heels

Happy Matriculation! After signing the official documents, I am now a member of my college and the university.
I wore a black-n-white ladylike dress I got from a sample sale. We are also all required to wear our academic gowns on top for this entrance ceremony, so no one noticed how interesting my dress was from the back.
After taking our group photo, Kevin and I walked in the Newnham gardens, taking advantage of the autumn leaves, and capture this important day of my life in camera. I do not take traditional portraits (or I try not to), so I let my gown fall off my shoulders and started posing. Very academic I should say.

I CUT MY TOP

Forever21 Sweater/ Ardene Bikini

Settling into my new life in Cambridge. Loving the town, the cafes, the architecture, and surrounded by intelligent and motivated people. It certainly takes a lot of courage and dedication to leave everything behind and pursue a new life, just so that I can learn from the best and become someone I shall become more proud of.

But I am missing home…...

BLACK TUX

BCBG Max Azria Blazer/ Christian Louboutin Pigalle

Shooting an all black and white series, I changed into a tux blazer, gave my most annoyed face and matched my most bossy poses to produce a strong feminine look. Joe and I joked around that we could call this "the principal's daughter".

Despite the conservative image of many professions identify as "appropriate", including academic institution leaders, teachers, politicians, etc, I want to make an exemption with an open-mindedness. A woman can still be in leading roles, but also being intelligent, confident, sexy, and contribute to the society with no conservative stereotypical public image that she should only present. They don't contradict, they complement.

Black is sophisticated, elegant, lazy, and easy at the same time. Black goes whenever you want and wherever you want.
